Panasonic Parts

Panasonic was founded in Osaka in 1918 by Konosuke Matsushita and was known as Matsushita Electric Industrial until it took the Panasonic Corporation name in 2008. Its industrial arm makes capacitors, resistors and other passive components.

The Panasonic parts here are mostly surface-mount and film capacitors: ECU-V multilayer ceramic chip capacitors, ECH-U PPS film chip capacitors, radial polyester and polypropylene film capacitors, EMI suppression capacitors, radial ceramic capacitors and aluminum electrolytics, plus thick film chip resistors.

How to spot one: Panasonic capacitor numbers carry a voltage code and a three-digit value code. In ECU-V1H102KBM, 1H is 50 volts, 102 is 1,000 pF and K is 10% tolerance. Match value, voltage, dielectric and chip size when you replace one.
