Frequently Asked Questions
My schematic calls for 0.012 uF. Is this the right value?
Yes. 0.012 uF, 12 nF and 12000 pF are the same value, and the 123 in the part number writes it as 12 followed by three zeros, in picofarads.
However the drawing writes it, 12000 pF, 12 nF or 0.012 uF, this is one of the in-between steps of the E12 preferred series, the one the coarser E6 series skips on its way from 10 to 15. A 10 or a 15 from the next drawer is a compromise here; this one is the match.
