AVX Parts
AVX began in 1972 as a ceramic capacitor subsidiary of Aerovox and became the parent company in 1973. Kyocera bought AVX in 1990, and in 2021 the company became KYOCERA AVX.
The AVX parts here are through-hole ceramic capacitors: SpinGuard axial capacitors, radial-lead multilayer capacitors in C0G, and small-value C0G axial capacitors.
How to read one: the three-digit value code is picofarads, two figures and a count of zeros, so 471 is 470 pF and 222 is 2200 pF. C0G holds its value over temperature for timing and filter circuits, while X7R packs more capacitance for bypass work.
