A crystal and an oscillator are not interchangeable. A crystal is a passive resonator that needs the oscillator circuit on your board; a clock oscillator is a complete module with power, ground and a clock output. Match the frequency to the last printed digit, then the holder or package. For a crystal, also match the load capacitance and whether it runs in fundamental or overtone mode. For an oscillator, match the output type and supply voltage.
