Cypress Semiconductor Parts
Cypress Semiconductor was founded in San Jose, California, in 1982 by T. J. Rodgers and others from AMD. It merged with Spansion in 2015, and Infineon Technologies bought Cypress in 2020.
The Cypress parts here are memory, clock and logic chips: asynchronous SRAM, SPI serial flash, zero delay clock buffers, and UV-erasable EPLDs in ceramic DIP.
How to spot one: Cypress part numbers start with CY. A zero delay buffer copies one clock to several outputs with its phase-locked loop lining the outputs up with the input.
