Cornell Dubilier Electronics Parts
Cornell Dubilier dates its start to 1909, when founder William Dubilier first used mica to build capacitors. Dubilier merged with Cornell Radio in 1933 to form Cornell Dubilier, and Knowles bought the company in 2023.
The Cornell Dubilier parts here are capacitors: dipped silvered mica capacitors for RF and timing circuits, ceramic disc and axial ceramic capacitors, and snap-in aluminum electrolytics.
When you replace a mica capacitor, match the capacitance, the voltage and the lead spacing; mica holds its value closely over temperature, so in a tuned or timing circuit use mica or a C0G (NP0) ceramic, never a Z5U or X7R part.
