RCA Parts

RCA was a major maker of transistors, power devices and CMOS ICs; it introduced the CD4000 COS/MOS logic family in 1968. GE reacquired RCA in 1986, and in 1988 Harris bought GE's semiconductor business, which included the RCA solid-state line.

The RCA parts here are power transistors in TO-3, TO-66 and TO-220 cases, including germanium types, gold-lead small-signal transistors, insulated-gate MOSFETs in TO-72 metal cans, CD4000-series CMOS ICs (analog multiplexers, bilateral switches, latches and LCD drivers), thyristors and SK-series thermal cutoffs.

How to spot one: RCA CMOS carries the CD prefix, and SK numbers belong to RCA's replacement line, which cross-references many original part numbers.
