Pilkor Parts
Pilkor Electronics, set up by Philips in 1974, is a South Korean maker of plastic film capacitors and metal film resistors.
The Pilkor parts here are Class X2 metallized polypropylene safety capacitors rated 275 V AC, in radial boxes, for across-the-line filtering in power supplies and appliances.
How to spot one: the case carries the capacitance code, the tolerance letter and the safety class, so a box marked 473 M is 47 nF at 20 percent. Replace an X2 capacitor with another X2 part of the same value and AC voltage rating; do not put one in a line-to-ground (Y) position.
