Its blue molded case is smooth and unbroken, with a few faint surface scuffs from handling and the glossy potting fill visible across the open top where the leads exit. Both leads are full length, straight and bright, with no solder, no flux residue and no clipped ends. The narrow top edge is printed 473nM 275V~ X2. No maker's wordmark is legible anywhere on the case in these photos.

Please read the capacitance note below before you order: our catalog has always called this part 470nF, and the case photographs as 473nM, which is not the same number. What exactly is printed on the part?
The narrow top edge reads 473nM 275V~ X2 and nothing else. Enlarged, the third character is an open-sided three rather than a closed zero, so we are quoting it as 473nM even though this listing has carried 470nF for years.
So what is the capacitance?
We are not going to assert one. Read as an EIA three-digit code, 473 is 47nF; read the way some makers print an IEC value, the same characters would be 473nF; and our own catalog has long said 470nF. Those readings are up to a factor of ten apart, the trailing M is normally a tolerance code we have not confirmed for this make, and we have not metered the part. Treat the capacitance as unconfirmed, meter it when it arrives, and do not design it into a mains position on the strength of this page alone.
Will it fit my board?
Measured against the ruler in the last photo the body is approximately 25 mm wide and about 20 mm tall, and the leads sit roughly 22 mm apart. Those are photo measurements, not caliper figures. If your footprint is tight, measure your pads first.
