Iskra Parts
Iskra is a Slovenian electrical and electronics maker founded in 1946 in Kranj. Its product lines include capacitors for electronics and power use.
The Iskra parts here are MKP metallized polypropylene RFI suppression capacitors: Class X2 across-the-line capacitors and Class Y2 line-to-ground capacitors with radial leads.
How to spot one: safety capacitors are printed with their class. X capacitors sit across the line, and Y capacitors sit from line to ground, where a failure could shock someone. Never put an X capacitor in a Y position; replace like with like at the same capacitance and AC voltage rating.
