Product Overview

Keyence FS-T2P is a 1-line expansion fiber optic amplifier engineered to mount side-by-side with FS-T series main units on standard 35 mm DIN rails. Designed for high-speed automated detection, it incorporates push-button one-touch sensitivity calibration, switchable Light-ON and Dark-ON operating modes, and selectable timer functions. Power and inter-unit mutual interference suppression are distributed directly through the side bus connector when ganged with an FS-T master amplifier.

Key Features

  • PNP open-collector control output (100 mA max, 40 VDC max)
  • 250 µs high-speed response time
  • Push-button one-touch calibration with lock switch
  • Switch-selectable Light-ON and Dark-ON modes
  • Built-in timer options: OFF-delay (40 ms), ON-delay (40 ms), or timer off
  • Quick-clamp dual fiber optic insertion ports
  • 1-conductor flying lead output cable
  • Standard 35 mm DIN rail mounting

Applications

  • Expanding sensing channels on automated packaging and assembly machinery without routing individual power drops.
  • High-speed component verification and small-parts feeding checks in industrial sorting fixtures.
  • Custom benchtop automation rigs and maker optical sensing setups ganged alongside an FS-T master unit.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can this expansion unit operate without an FS-T main unit?

No. Expansion units draw their 12 to 24 VDC operating power and bus communication directly through the lateral side connectors from an FS-T series main unit.

What type of fiber optic cables attach to the ports?

It accepts standard Keyence and compatible plastic fiber optic sensing cables via the top dual-aperture mechanical clamp latch.

What condition is this unit in, and what is included?

This unit is surplus equipment in clean cosmetic condition with a bare lead wire pigtail and no connector attached. It has received a visual inspection, and function testing has not been performed. The price per piece steps down with quantity, and the price-break table on this page shows each step.

Slapping another channel onto the DIN rail is how good machinery grows without running fresh power runs across the cabinet. Clip it in, lock the fiber, and put the beam back on the line.
