One face of the black sleeve is printed nichicon 220uF 35V twice around the can; the opposite face carries the series marking KL(K), the temperature marking 85 C, and the lot code H1512. Both radial leads are bright and untrimmed, each carrying a kink a few millimetres from the can body and one of them a double bend, with no solder, no flux residue, and no clipped ends, so this piece has never been fitted to a board. The light stripe running the length of the sleeve carries the printed minus symbols that mark the negative side, and the base view shows the rubber sealing bung clean and unmarked. The sleeve on the piece in our photos is printed 85 C, and that is the only temperature marking we can read on it. An earlier version of this listing described a high temperature 150 C part, which does not match what the camera shows. Buy on the strength of the printed marking, and verify the rating against the Nichicon datasheet before you put it in a hot enclosure.
What do the KL(K) and H1512 markings mean?
KL(K) is the Nichicon series marking printed on the sleeve, and H1512 is a factory lot code. We report both exactly as printed and do not decode them further. If your build needs series specific endurance or ripple figures, pull the Nichicon KL datasheet.
Has it been tested or reformed?
No. We sell it as unused stock based on what the photos show: untrimmed leads with no solder or flux residue, and an unmarked base seal. We do not capacitance test or reform stored electrolytics, so if your application is critical, measure it on arrival before it goes in the board.
