Harris Semiconductor Parts
Harris Semiconductor grew from the semiconductor division of Radiation Inc. In 1988 Harris bought GE Solid State, which included the RCA semiconductor line, and took over Intersil. Harris spun the business off as Intersil in 1999, and Renesas bought Intersil in 2017.
The Harris parts here are CD74HC and CD74HCT logic (decoders, flip-flops, multivibrators and phase-locked loops), CD4000 CMOS, BiMOS op amps, sample-and-hold amplifiers, analog switches, real-time clocks, and small-signal and power transistors.
How to spot one: the CD and CA prefixes came from RCA, and HA marks Harris analog parts. The digit after the dash in an HA or HI number gives the package (1 for ceramic CERDIP, 3 for plastic DIP), and a -5 at the end is the 0 to 75°C commercial range.
