Philips Parts

Philips was founded in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, in 1891. It bought Signetics in 1975, and its semiconductor division became NXP Semiconductors in 2006. Philips also sold the ECG line of replacement semiconductors, which began at Sylvania.

The Philips parts here are 74HCT logic, including counters, adders, buffers and phase-locked loops, CAN bus interface chips, zener and switching diodes, avalanche rectifiers, small-signal transistors, shunt voltage references, bipolar PROMs and ECG replacement transistors.

How to spot one: Philips zener numbers such as BZX79 and BZX84 carry the tolerance and voltage. In BZX79-C9V1, C is the 5% tolerance grade and 9V1 is 9.1 volts, with the V in place of the decimal point.
