New, unused stock. The black molded body is clearly embossed 1269 with the Pomona name on the recessed panel between the plugs, and that marking appears on one face only. The BNC jack carries bright silver-coloured plating, with a clean white insulator and an undamaged center contact. Both banana plug shanks are bright and unmarked, with no scoring or spread from prior insertion. Fine surface lines from molding and handling show on the black plastic under close light. The Pomona 1269 is a between-series adapter that puts a BNC female jack on one end and a pair of banana plugs on the other, so a coax-terminated signal lands directly in the banana jacks of a meter, a power supply, or a patch panel. The body is a one-piece black molded block carrying both plugs on a fixed span, with an open through-hole above each plug and a single screw head visible at the lower left of the marked face. Those holes are the stackable part of the design: a second banana plug pushes in from the side and rides piggyback, so the adapter does not consume the jack it is sitting in. Frequently Asked Questions
Which end is the BNC, male or female?
Female. The BNC end is a jack with a raised bayonet stud on the outside of the barrel; the matching slots are on the male cable shell, which twists on and locks over that stud. The banana end is two male plugs.
What does stackable mean on this adapter?
Look at the photos and you will see a hole through the body directly above each banana plug. Another banana plug slides into that hole and makes contact, so you can chain a second lead onto the same point without stealing the instrument jack. That is what the original listing meant by stackable, and the holes are plainly there in the pictures.
Are the other banana plugs in the photos included?
No. A couple of the shots catch separate parts at the edge of the frame that were on the photo bench at the time. You get the one Pomona 1269 adapter, nothing else.
Can you confirm the impedance and voltage rating?
Not confirmed. Nothing on the part states either figure, and we do not test to a rating. Check the Pomona datasheet for the 1269 against your application before you put voltage on it.
