Condition

Unused new old stock. The tongue is stamped YA2C-2TC38, 2 AWG, and BROWN DIE 10, with three certification marks beside the stud holes, and the barrel wears Burndy's brown color-code band with white printing. The tin plating is bright on the faces with the light gray dulling normal for shelf-stored tinned copper. Price is per lug; 25 available, so you can terminate a whole panel from one order.

Product Overview

The Burndy YA2C2TC38 is a straight barrel, two-hole compression lug sized for 2 AWG cable. The body is high-conductivity copper electroplated with tin to resist corrosion and overheating at the joint. The tongue is drilled for 3/8 inch studs on 1 inch centers, and the lug measures 3.42 inches long by 0.61 inch wide with 0.41 inch from hole center to end; against the rule in our photos the lug runs right at 3.4 inches overall. The crimp die code is stamped on the tongue itself (BROWN DIE 10) and repeated in the barrel's brown color band, so the die match travels with the part. Compression termination gives a controlled, repeatable connection that stands up to current surges, temperature extremes, and vibration.

Frequently Asked Questions

What crimp tool and die do I need?

The tongue is stamped BROWN DIE 10 and the barrel band is color-coded brown, so this lug takes Burndy's brown die, index 10. Match your specific crimp tool against Burndy's tool and die chart before installation.

Is this lug for copper or aluminum conductors?

The lug itself is tinned copper. Conductor compatibility is not confirmed on our end - verify against the Burndy catalog before landing aluminum cable.

Is the price for one lug or the lot?

Price is per lug. We have 25 in stock; order the quantity your job needs.

Will it fit my two-hole pad?

The tongue is drilled for 3/8 inch studs on 1 inch centers. Check your pad's stud size and spacing against those numbers before ordering.

Why buy two or three lugs here instead of a bag of 50 on Amazon?

Most jobs need a handful, not a contractor pack. PartsMine sells the exact quantity - order 2, order 10, whatever the panel calls for. Shipping is $8 flat rate, free over $28, so a few lugs usually cost far less than a forced bulk lot. Same or next business day shipping from Idaho.

Crimp it once, torque it down, and forget it - that is the entire career of a good compression lug. This Burndy is ready to disappear into your panel and do exactly that.
