Welwyn Parts
Welwyn Electrical Laboratories was founded in 1937 in Welwyn Garden City, England, and many of its earliest products were vitreous enamelled wirewound resistors. Welwyn resistors are now made under the TT Electronics name.
The Welwyn parts here are W23 vitreous enamelled wirewound resistors: axial-lead power resistors rated at 10.5 W, in values from tens of ohms to 10 kohms.
How to spot one: the W23 number carries the value with R or K at the decimal point, so 100R is 100 ohms and 10K is 10 kohms, and the letter after the value gives the tolerance (F for 1%). When you replace a power resistor, match the value, the wattage and the body size, and leave the same air space around it.
