Siliconix Parts
Siliconix was founded in 1962 in Sunnyvale, California, and its first products were junction FETs, MOSFETs and FET arrays. Vishay began buying Siliconix stock in the late 1990s and owned all of it by 2005, so current Siliconix parts carry the Vishay name.
The Siliconix parts here are mostly N-channel JFETs in TO-92 plastic cases, including low-noise types, plus monolithic dual N-channel JFETs in TO-71 metal cans and DG508A 8-channel CMOS analog multiplexers.
When you replace a JFET, match the channel type, the pinout and the drain current range: JFETs of the same number vary from piece to piece, so circuits that need a pair often use a monolithic dual.
