Product Overview

The TS line is Tepro's silicone-protected axial precision power wirewound family, a steatite or alumina core wound with copper-nickel or nickel-chrome and sealed with high-temperature silicone, per Tepro's published TS series data. The unit photographed is a black body with tapered shoulders, printed in white across four lines, TEPRO, then TS 1W, then 75 0.05% on one line, then 9044 beneath that; 9044 is a printed code and Tepro's published data offers no reading for it. Long straight silver leads run well past the body at both ends, shot against a dark speckled backdrop and held between finger and thumb in three of the frames. Five are on the shelf at this value, sold one at a time.

Key Features

  • Body of the unit photographed printed TEPRO TS 1W with 75 0.05% and the printed code 9044, giving 75 ohm at 0.05% tolerance
  • Power: 1 W. Tepro's published TS data lists the 1 W types as TS1A covering 0.01 to 10K ohm, and TSA1 and TS1 covering 0.01 to 20K ohm
  • Temperature coefficient +/-20 ppm at 10 ohm and above, the band 75 ohm falls in (Tepro published TS data)
  • 0.05% is the tightest figure in the published standard TS tolerance range, which runs 0.05% to 5% (Tepro published TS data)
  • Construction: steatite or alumina core, copper-nickel or nickel-chrome winding as the resistance requires, high-temperature silicone sealant, tinned copper-weld standard terminals (Tepro published TS data)
  • Rating basis characteristic U, 275 degC maximum hotspot, 0.5% maximum delta-R over 2000 h load life; the TS.5 through TS2 sizes run full power to 170 degC ambient without derating (Tepro published TS data)
  • Short-time overload 5 s at 5x rated power on types of 3 W and below; dielectric strength 500 VAC on TS.125 through TS3, insulation resistance 1000 Mohm minimum (Tepro published TS data)
  • Verify against Tepro's published TS series data before designing in.

Applications

  • Bridge arms, calibration networks and reference dividers
  • Precision sense and shunt positions in instrumentation
  • Gain-setting legs in analog signal chains
  • Repair and restoration of legacy precision test gear

Frequently Asked Questions

How many should I order?

Order the count the build needs. Five of this value are on the shelf, sold one at a time rather than in fixed packs, so a matched pair and its spares come out of a single order. Shipping is $8 flat rate and free on orders over $28, so small parts like this ship smartest as part of a larger order.

What is the 9044 printed under the tolerance?

A four-digit code printed on the body below the 75 0.05% line. Tepro's published TS data carries no table that reads it, so we call it a printed code and read nothing further into it. The figures to order by are the ones above it, TS series, 1 W, 75 ohm, 0.05%, and those are the ones this listing is written to.

Seventy-five ohms to five hundredths of a percent, above four digits nobody has published a key for.
