International Rectifier (IR) Parts
International Rectifier made power semiconductors: HEXFET power MOSFETs (IRF-numbered parts such as the IRF510), Schottky and fast-recovery rectifiers, and diodes for power supplies and motor drives. Infineon Technologies bought IR in 2015, so current production of many IR numbers is under the Infineon name.
How to spot one: the IR logo on the part body reads "IOR", which is why many buyers search for IOR parts. IR MOSFET numbers usually start with IRF, or IRL for logic-level parts; IR Schottky rectifiers carry numbers such as 10CTQ150 or the industry-standard MBR numbers.
When you replace an IR MOSFET, match the full number, the package and the pinout, and check gate-drive voltage: most through-hole IRF parts are specified with about 10 V on the gate, while IRL logic-level parts are built for 4 to 5 V drive.
