Product Overview
This is an 8EWS08S, the 800 V member of a two-part high voltage input rectifier series that also includes the 1200 V 8EWS12S, both 8 A and both in DPAK. Our units come off a length of black carrier tape, six of them visible in the photo, with the topside of the photographed bodies reading 8EWS08S over a lot line ending 217G and a second line reading 8P and 98. No maker logo is legible on the parts in these photos, so the International Rectifier attribution here comes from the part number and the series history, not from a mark we can see.

Is this the same footprint as a D2PAK? No. The published package is DPAK, JEDEC TO-252AA, which is the smaller of the two tab packages, and the three-lead body with the wide tab in the photo matches it. If your board is laid out for a D2PAK or TO-263 land pattern, this part will not drop in. The marking lines ending 217G and 98 are lot and date strings we quote as printed; we have not decoded them against a published marking key, so do not read a year out of them.
