Product Overview
Ametek V1535 Panel Vacuum Gauge, 2 in Stainless Case, 0 to 30 in Hg Counter-Clockwise
Condition
Unused, New Old Stock. The gauge is still in its factory poly bag, which is open and flared at the top, with the blue plastic thread protector in place over the bottom connection, and the polished stainless bezel and white dial are clean with no handling marks. It is shown with its original AMETEK U.S. Gauge Division box and the printed Use and Installation warning sheet. The box is what shows the years: the top seam is split along one edge and the spec label is creased and lightly soiled. The dial itself reads in Hg vacuum on a counter-clockwise 0 to 30 scale and is marked CONN-SST, TUBE-SST 316, WELDED, U.S. GAUGE, MADE IN U.S.A.

Product Overview
The V1535 is a 2 inch vacuum gauge reading 0 to 30 inches of mercury on a counter-clockwise dial, with a bottom-mounted 1/4 in CBNPT process connection that drops straight into a panel cutout or a line tee. Stainless steel case construction and 316L stainless wetted parts suit it to corrosion-prone service, and the rear case carries a pressure relief vent for safety. Accuracy is +/-1% of full scale, Grade 1A. The spec label on the box of this unit reads MODEL NO. V 1535 with TRACKING CODE B31, RANGE 30 IN HG CCW with SPEC. NO. 168115, and CONN. CBNPT with SIZE 2 in, printed by AMETEK U.S. Gauge Division, PMT Products, Feasterville, Pennsylvania, with the ANSI B40.1 handling warning alongside it.

Frequently Asked Questions
What exactly does this gauge read?
Vacuum only, 0 to 30 inches of mercury, on a counter-clockwise dial. The face is printed in Hg vacuum and the box label confirms the range as 30 IN HG CCW. It is not a compound gauge and does not read positive pressure.
How does it mount and connect?
Bottom mount, with a 1/4 in CBNPT process connection under the case. The blue plastic thread protector shown in the photos comes off at installation. Use a wrench on the connection flats, not on the case.
What are the wetted parts made of?
The listing specification calls out 316L stainless steel wetted parts. The dial on the photographed unit is marked CONN-SST and TUBE-SST 316, WELDED. If your service depends on the exact alloy grade, verify against the Ametek datasheet for the V1535 before use.
Has this gauge been tested or calibrated here?
No. It is sold as unused New Old Stock and it is still in its factory bag, so it has not been plumbed or bench checked here. The +/-1% full scale Grade 1A figure is the factory rating. Any mechanical gauge that has sat in storage should be zeroed and checked against a known reference before critical use.
Why buy this one boxed gauge instead of taking a chance on a surplus lot?
Because you can see this exact gauge before you buy it. Every side is photographed, the spec label is readable in the pictures, the gauge is still in its factory bag, and the paperwork is in the box. A pallet or auction lot of mixed instruments costs you sorting time and usually delivers three ranges you do not need and one cracked crystal. This one came off a shelf still wearing its AMETEK U.S. Gauge Division label from Feasterville, Pennsylvania. Shipping is $8 flat rate and free once your order passes $28, and orders leave our Idaho warehouse the same or next business day.
U.S. Gauge built these in Pennsylvania for panels that ran hot, wet, and unattended, and this one sat out the whole era in its factory bag instead. Slide it out, thread it in, and put it back to work counting inches of mercury for you.
