Product Overview
The TS line is Tepro's axial precision power wirewound family, silicone protected over a steatite or alumina core, per Tepro's published TS series data. The unit photographed is stamped on four lines - TEPRO, then TS 1W, then 30, then 0.1% - in pale grey on a matte black body that tapers to a point at each end rather than finishing square, with fine bright leads running well past the body on both sides. One of the photos sets it beside our own handwritten shelf card, which reads TEPRO TS 1W 30 0.1% and repeats exactly what is on the part; no separate stamped code appears on this body in these photos. Five are on the shelf at this value, sold one at a time, and that count is the whole of it.
Key Features
- Body of the unit photographed stamped TEPRO TS 1W with 30 and 0.1%, giving 30 ohm at 0.1% tolerance
- Axial precision power wirewound, silicone protected, tinned copper-weld standard terminals (Tepro published TS data)
- TS standard tolerances run 0.05% to 5%, with 0.01% offered on most types as a variation (Tepro published TS data)
- Temperature coefficient +/-20 ppm at 10 ohm and above, which covers this value (Tepro published TS data)
- Rated on characteristic U with a 275 degC maximum hotspot and 0.5% maximum delta-R over 2000 h load life (Tepro published TS data)
- Short-time overload of 5 s at 5x rated power on 3 W and smaller types (Tepro published TS data)
- Non-inductive Ayrton-Perry windings are a published variation on the series, ordered by adding NI to the type (Tepro published TS data)
- Verify against Tepro's published TS series data before designing in.
Applications
- Precision dividers and gain-setting networks
- Bench test fixtures and jigs
- Repair and restoration of analog instruments
- Reference legs in control and metering circuits
Frequently Asked Questions
How many should I order?
Order the count the build needs, with the shelf count in view: five of this value, sold one at a time, and that is the whole count for it. A fixture wanting a matched pair or trio is better filled in one order than across two visits. Shipping is $8 flat rate and free on orders over $28, so small parts like this ship smartest as part of a larger order.
How much does the value move with temperature?
Tepro's published TS data gives +/-20 ppm at 10 ohm and above, and at 30 ohm this part sits in that band, so it is the tightest temperature coefficient the standard series carries. Special TC down to +5 ppm is published as available on request, and no TC marking is visible on the unit photographed in these photos, so treat it as a standard-band part unless your own incoming check says otherwise. The stamp reads TEPRO TS 1W 30 0.1% and nothing further, so there is no additional grade code to look up.
Thirty ohms that stay thirty ohms whether the bench is cold in the morning or warm by afternoon.
