Product Overview

Jemco 2 Volt Red LED Panel Indicator with 11-Inch Pigtail Leads

Condition

New old stock. The photos show a white molded cylindrical housing stamped JEMCO ENGR. over 2 VOLT in black lettering, with a small circled CSA certification mark beside the text, a bright chrome bezel ring at the front, and a faceted red lens behind it. The two stranded leads, one grey and one brown, are clean and flexible, with bright bare copper at the stripped ends and no solder, crimp marks, or tarnish. Jacket print visible in the ruler photo includes VW-1 and CSA. Against the rule the housing behind the bezel measures about 3/4 inch long, roughly 7/8 inch counting the narrow rear boss where the leads exit. No cracks, scuffs, or discoloration are visible on the body or the lens.

Product Overview

The Jemco PM-LED2V is a panel-mount LED indicator lamp rated 2 VDC, supplied as a finished assembly with 11-inch AWG 18 stranded leads already attached, so it seats in a panel opening and wires back to a terminal strip or board without anyone soldering to the lamp itself. The red faceted lens sits inside a chrome bezel at the front of a white molded body that carries its own rating on the side, stamped JEMCO ENGR. and 2 VOLT, which makes a pulled lamp easy to identify years later in a parts drawer. The leads are flexible stranded wire with jacket printing that includes VW-1 and CSA. PM-LED2V is the catalog reference; the body itself carries only the maker name, the voltage, and a small circled CSA mark.

Applications

  • Controls technician replacing a dead indicator on a legacy machine panel who needs a lamp with wire leads rather than solder tabs behind the door.
  • Instrument builder adding a red status light to a low-voltage front panel and running the leads back to a board without a connector.
  • Restorer bringing an old console or test set back to life who wants a metal-bezel pilot lamp instead of a modern plastic one.
  • Bench prototyper who wants the indicator mounted on the enclosure face with 11 inches of slack to reach the driver circuit.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I wire this straight to 12 or 24 volts?

The housing is stamped 2 VOLT and the listing rating is 2 VDC, so treat 2 VDC as the working figure. Whether a dropping resistor is built into the assembly is not confirmed here, so before you apply anything higher, check it against the manufacturer data or bring it up on a current-limited supply and size an external series resistor for your rail.

Which lead is positive?

Polarity is not marked on the body or the leads in any of the photos, and the grey and brown jackets carry no plus or minus indication. An LED only lights one way around, so identify polarity on a current-limited 2 V source before you commit the wiring.

What size panel hole does it need?

The mounting hole size and the thread or snap detail behind the bezel are not confirmed, so we are not going to publish a number. The photos show the chrome bezel, the white cylinder behind it, and a rule shot where the housing behind the bezel measures about 3/4 inch. Measure your opening against those before you drill.

What markings are actually on the lamp?

Two stamped lines on the white body, JEMCO ENGR. and 2 VOLT, plus a small circled CSA certification mark next to them. There is no date code and no part number printed on the piece itself, so PM-LED2V comes from the catalog rather than the housing.

Why buy two or three of these instead of a forced lot of fifty?

Because a panel usually needs one lamp, maybe two, and a spare in the drawer. We stock these individually and you take the count you actually need, photographed and described from the real pieces on our shelf, instead of committing to a bag of fifty red indicators you will never finish. Shipping is $8 flat rate, free once your order passes $28, and orders leave our Idaho warehouse the same or next business day.

Jemco stamped 2 VOLT right on the side because at this size that is nearly the whole spec sheet, and the rest depends on the panel you put it in. Give it a properly limited supply and it will go back to doing the one job it was molded for, telling somebody the circuit is alive.
