Toshiba Parts
Toshiba formed in 1939 when Shibaura Seisakusho merged with Tokyo Denki, and took the Toshiba name in 1978. Its memory business became Toshiba Memory in 2017, now named Kioxia.
The Toshiba parts here are TLP-series optocouplers with phototransistor outputs, small-signal 2SA and 2SC transistors, DRAM memory, and microprocessor support chips such as programmable peripheral interfaces and DMA controllers.
How to spot one: Japanese transistors often drop the 2S from the body marking, so a part marked A562 is a 2SA562 and C2236 is a 2SC2236. 2SA parts are PNP and 2SC parts are NPN. The letter after the number (O, Y) is the gain group; match it when you replace one in a matched circuit.
