Square D Parts

Square D was founded in Detroit in 1902 as McBride Manufacturing, and its logo, a letter D for Detroit inside a square, gave the company the Square D name in 1917. Schneider Electric bought Square D in 1991, and the name lives on as a Schneider brand.

The Square D parts here are motor-control and panel pieces: Class 9001 push-to-test pilot lights and light modules, Class 9065 thermal overload relays and overload heater elements.

How to spot one: Square D control parts start with a Class number for the product family, such as 9001 for push buttons and pilot lights and 9065 for overload relays, followed by the Type. To replace an overload heater, match the heater number from the starter and check it against the heater table for the motor full-load current.
