Contrinex LRS-3031-304 is a compact retroreflective photoelectric sensor in a 30x30x15mm square housing. It detects objects by emitting a light beam toward a separate reflector — when an object breaks the beam, the sensor switches output. Output is PNP, Dark-ON, meaning the output activates when the beam is interrupted. Rated IP65, powered at 10-36V DC, and connects via M8 3-pin connector. Maximum sensing range is 2000mm with a compatible reflector. Switching frequency is 500 Hz. Housing is PBTP (Crastin) with a glass optical window.

Does this sensor include a reflector?
No. A separate reflector is required for retroreflective operation and is not included. Contrinex and third-party reflectors compatible with this sensor family are available independently.
Is this PNP or NPN output?
PNP, Dark-ON. The output activates when the light beam is interrupted. Verify your control system accepts a PNP sourcing output before ordering. The NPN equivalent in this series is the LRS-3031-302.
What connector does this sensor use?
M8 3-pin connector. A compatible M8 cable or pigtail is required and is not included.
What power supply does it require?
10-36V DC. It is not compatible with AC power supplies.
What is the maximum sensing distance?
2000mm (2 meters) under clean conditions with a compatible reflector. Actual range may be reduced by dirt, dust, or misalignment between the sensor and reflector.
