How to spot one: many Asian transistors are marked with a Japanese JIS number with the 2S dropped, so a part marked A1270 is a 2SA1270. In JIS numbers, 2SA and 2SC are high-frequency PNP and NPN transistors, and 2SB and 2SD are audio-frequency PNP and NPN.
