Linear Technology Parts
Linear Technology was founded in 1981 by Robert Swanson and Robert Dobkin and was based in Milpitas, California. It made analog ICs: power management, references, amplifiers and data converters. Analog Devices completed its purchase of Linear in 2017, and LT parts continue under the ADI name.
The Linear Technology parts here are power and analog ICs: switching regulators, switched-capacitor voltage converters, precision voltage references and high-speed op amps, mostly in 8-pin DIPs.
How to spot one: Linear parts carry LT or LTC numbers, and the suffix letters include the temperature range (C for commercial, I for industrial) and the package (N8 for an 8-pin plastic DIP, S8 for SO-8, T for TO-220).
