Micrel Parts

Micrel was founded in 1978 by Ray Zinn and Warren Muller in Silicon Valley and made analog, power and interface chips. Microchip Technology bought Micrel in 2015, and Micrel numbers carry on under Microchip.

The Micrel parts here are power regulators: LM2575 1 A step-down switching regulators in TO-220 and wide SOIC packages, MIC4575 200 kHz buck regulators, and MIC5200 low-dropout linear regulators.

When you replace a switching regulator, match the output version (fixed or adjustable), the switching frequency, the package and the pinout, and keep the inductor, diode and capacitors the circuit was built with.
