Hewlett-Packard Parts
Hewlett-Packard was founded by Bill Hewlett and David Packard in a Palo Alto garage in 1939 and built its name on electronic test instruments. HP spun off its test and measurement business as Agilent Technologies in 1999.
The HP parts here are instrument service parts and bench tools: transistors, film capacitors and other components carrying HP part numbers, and spring-loaded DIP test clips.
How to spot one: HP parts carry HP numbers in a four-digit, dash, four-digit form, and transistors fall in the 1853 range for PNP and 1854 for NPN. Cross-reference lists match many HP numbers to industry-standard parts.
