Helipot Beckman Parts
Helipot is short for helical potentiometer: the resistance element is wound in a helix, so the wiper travels many turns for fine adjustment. Arnold Beckman's company, National Technical Laboratories, later Beckman Instruments, built the Helipot in the early 1940s, and it went into World War II radar equipment.
The Helipot parts here are multi-turn precision potentiometers, including Model A 10-turn pots, Model B wirewound pots and 7266 series pots.
A 10-turn pot is often paired with a turns-counting dial. Match resistance, number of turns, shaft diameter and body size when you replace one.
