One unit available, unused NOS in excellent condition with nothing out of the ordinary noted. Evaluation was visual inspection only; function testing was not performed. In the photos the textured black bezel is clean and evenly finished with no handling marks visible, both front pushbuttons sit flush, and the reflective LCD window shows no digits in these photos. The rear label photographs fully legible: red lion, M4664A, CE, cULus Listed (Proc. Cont. Eq., 3RSD), CUB7TCS0 and an 11JAN18 date code, with the DIP legend printed beside the switch block. The panel mounting clip is fitted and the white, blue and black flying leads are attached with no damage visible in these photos. The original Red Lion carton also appears, labeled RLC PT#: CUB7TCS0, DATE: 11JAN18 and printed MADE IN THE USA; the unit is shown out of that carton for the camera. The internal battery is not user replaceable and its remaining charge is unconfirmed.

The Red Lion CUB7TCS0 is a miniature 8-digit electronic timer and elapsed time indicator, the part you panel-mount when you need to know how many hours a machine has actually been running rather than how long it has been sitting in the plant. It drops into a 1/32 DIN cutout of 45 mm x 22.2 mm, which is small enough to fit a crowded cabinet door where a 1/8 DIN meter will not go, and it runs from an internal lithium battery instead of an external supply, so it keeps counting on equipment that has no spare 24 V rail. The display is a reflective LCD with no backlight, chosen for readability in high ambient light, and the digits are the 0.35 in (8.9 mm) height standard to this family. Timing input is low voltage only, 28 VDC maximum. Three DIP switches sit behind the rear label, and the label itself spells out what they do: SNK/SRC, HI/LO FREQ. and KEY DIS/EN. Does this need an external power supply?

No. This model takes a low-voltage timing input only, 28 VDC maximum. A line-voltage input will damage it.
