I was watching the absolutely fantastic BigCliveDotCom over on YouTube and came across one of his newest experimental projects.

He was inspired by a friend to design a prop - a flower that could drop its petals in a controlled manner during a theater performance.  Rather than over complicate things with pneumatics, motors, triggers, etc, he opted for a much simpler approach.

Resistors, a tiny ball of wax, and a little bit power.
