Product Overview
Sioux Chief 600-40184 Two-Bolt Stainless Repair Clamp for 1-1/4 Inch Pipe
Condition
Unused, New Old Stock. No manufacturer packaging, but the factory part label is still on the shell and reads clearly in the photos: PART NO. 600-40184, QTY 1, S.S. REPAIR CLAMP, 1 1/4" X 6" TWO BOLT, with barcode 7 39236 44165 2 and the code 154147 printed underneath. SIOUX CHIEF is printed on the stainless just below the label. The polished shell carries minor scuffs and fine scratches from open storage, plus a few faint tint marks near the lugs. Bolts, hex nuts, washers and the yellow zinc plated lugs are all present in the photos, and the black gasket liner covers the full inside face of the shell. The fastener hardware has not been run through its travel and the gasket has not been tested here.

Product Overview
This is a Sioux Chief 600-40184 stainless steel repair clamp, a wrap-around shell with an internal gasket liner that closes over a leak or a crack in 1-1/4 inch nominal pipe and is drawn tight by two bolts. The factory label confirms the size and the two-bolt configuration: 1 1/4" x 6", two bolt. The shell is a single piece of polished stainless with rolled edges; the two lugs, bolts and nuts are yellow zinc plated, which is the usual pairing on this style of clamp so the fastener hardware does not seize against the stainless. The end-on photo shows the black elastomer liner covering the full inside face of the shell, which is the part that actually does the sealing once the bolts pull the shell around the pipe. Gasket pressure, temperature and media ratings are not printed on the part and are not confirmed here.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will this fit my pipe?
The factory label calls it a 1 1/4" x 6" clamp, so it is sized for 1-1/4 inch nominal pipe over a 6 inch span. Repair clamps are sized to the outside diameter of the pipe, and outside diameter varies between materials at the same nominal size. Measure the actual outside diameter of your pipe and check it against Sioux Chief's published range for 600-40184 before you order.
What is the gasket rated for?
Not confirmed. The photos show a black elastomer liner covering the inside face of the shell, but no pressure, temperature or media rating is printed anywhere on the part or the label, and the gasket compound and its condition have not been tested here. Verify the gasket compound and working pressure against Sioux Chief's data for 600-40184 before putting it on anything other than cold water, and check your local code on whether a clamp is an acceptable permanent repair.
What exactly is included?
One complete clamp as pictured: the stainless shell with its gasket liner, two lugs, two bolts with washers and hex nuts, and the factory part label still attached. No manufacturer box or bag, and no additional hardware beyond what is in the photos.
Why buy this photographed clamp instead of a surplus lot or a case quantity?
Because you can see exactly what shows up. There are two of these on the shelf, both photographed on the bench with the label readable and the gasket visible, sold as individual pieces rather than as part of a mixed plumbing lot or an auction pallet you have to sort through. Buying a case of clamps in one size to fix one pipe is how shelves fill up with sizes you will never use again. Shipping is $8 flat rate and free once your order passes $28, and orders leave our Idaho warehouse the same or next business day.
A repair clamp is the part nobody thinks about until water is going somewhere it should not, and then it is the only part in the truck that matters. Two bolts, a gasket, and a few minutes of wrench time: this one is waiting for the pipe that has not split yet.
