BreezeCOM Uni-8.5 EXT Directional 2.4GHz Antenna Kit for BreezeNET D Bridges

Condition

Unused, open box, still in the original carton with its foam padding and printed installation sheet. The photos show the gray radome with its blue protective cap still on the connector stub, the coiled black cable still wearing BreezeCom's orange caution tag (it is a strain relief cable, not meant to bear load), and the sealed bag of mounting screws and wall anchors. The brushed aluminum backplate is unmarked. Two kits available.

Same or next business day shipping from our Idaho warehouse. Honest pricing, no nonsense.

Product Overview

The BreezeCOM 872909 Uni-8.5 EXT is a directional antenna built for 2.4 GHz wireless links, designed as the external antenna option for BreezeNET D series wireless bridges. It covers the full 2.4 GHz ISM band (2400 to 2483.5 MHz) with 8.5 dBi of element gain, roughly 6.5 dBi effective after cable loss, in a 75 degree horizontal by 60 degree vertical beam. Vertical polarization, VSWR under 2:1, and a weather-resistant enclosure suit it to indoor and outdoor point-to-multipoint installs. The kit photographed is complete: low-profile radome with BreezeCom's embossed logo, pre-attached 8 ft RG-58/U cable, keyhole-slotted aluminum backplate, hardware bag, and the factory sheet covering transmit antenna gain rules.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which connector is on these units?

The 872909 shipped with either an RP-SMA male or N-type connector depending on kit version. The cable in our photos carries small gold right-angle screw-on connectors plus an N-type female fitting. Contact us before ordering and we will confirm the exact connector on the units in stock against your radio.

Will it work with radios other than BreezeNET D?

It is a passive 2.4 GHz antenna, so electrically it can serve other 2.4 GHz gear, but fit depends on your radio's antenna port and the connector on this kit. Verify both before ordering.

Is it rated for outdoor mounting?

The enclosure is weather-resistant and the antenna was designed for indoor and outdoor point-to-multipoint setups. Mounting screws and wall anchors are included, and the backplate has keyhole slots for flat mounting.

What is the real-world gain?

8.5 dBi at the element. With the pre-attached 8 ft cable, figure approximately 6.5 dBi effective at the connector.

Why buy one or two kits here instead of a surplus lot elsewhere?

We sell exact quantities - one kit for one link, two for a pair of buildings, no forced lots of mystery pulls. Shipping is $8 flat rate, free over $28, which this kit clears on its own. Same or next business day shipping from Idaho.

Before mesh networks and cloud controllers, links like this carried data building to building on nothing more than gain and good aim. Two kits left - point one where the cable cannot go and let it work.
