Condition

Unused, new old stock. The photos show the parts exactly as they come out of stock: cut strips of black embossed carrier tape, sprocket holes along one edge, one three-lead SOT-23 body seated in each pocket. Under magnification every body carries the same laser marking, a large Z2 followed by a small p and a sideways 5n code. The epoxy bodies are clean matte black, the tin-plated leads are bright, straight, and show no solder or bending. Cover tape has been pulled back so the pieces can be counted out; a little dust sits on the tape carrier itself, not on the devices. You receive 20 pieces.

The parts say Z2, not BZX84-C5V1. Is that the right device?

Yes. SOT-23 bodies are too small for a full part number, so the manufacturer laser marks a short type code instead. These are marked Z2, the code used for this member of the BZX84 series, with a small p and a sideways 5n lot code beside it. Photo two is a macro shot of a single body so you can compare the marking against your own reference before ordering.

Have these been electrically tested?

No. They are sold as unused new old stock in factory carrier tape, and we have not measured Zener voltage, test current, leakage, or temperature coefficient on individual pieces. Those numbers are not confirmed here - check them against the BZX84 datasheet before use, and curve-trace one piece from the strip if your design depends on a tight reference.
