Sylvania

Sylvania Parts

Sylvania was an American maker of light bulbs, vacuum tubes and fluorescent lamps that merged with General Telephone in 1959 to form GTE. Osram bought the North American lighting business in 1993, which became Osram Sylvania. Sylvania also sold the ECG line of replacement semiconductors for TV and radio service work.

The Sylvania parts here are miniature indicator lamps with bayonet, slide and flanged bases, projector lamps, and ECG replacement semiconductors such as triacs.

How to spot one: miniature lamps carry trade numbers such as 1819 and 382 that are shared across lamp makers, and projector lamps carry three-letter ANSI codes such as DAX. Match the number, then the voltage and the base.
