The MC79L15CP is a three-terminal fixed negative 15 V regulator from the 100 mA 79L family, the low-current relative of the 1.0 A MC7900 parts.
We are shipping these out of a bin of 294, sold each. The representative unit photographed is a small black TO-92 lettered in three lines across the flat face: MC79L on the top line, 15CP under it, A147 at the bottom. Its rounded rear face carries nothing but a small circled mold mark, and no Motorola batwing is visible on this package style in these photos, so the MC79L prefix is the brand evidence the body itself gives. All three leads are full length, straight and bright, untrimmed and never cut down to a board. We do not decode A147: no Motorola-published marking guide sits behind the data we work from, so we read no date out of that string and quote none.
