Hitachi Parts
Hitachi was founded in 1910 in Hitachi, Ibaraki, Japan, by Namihei Odaira. In 2003 it combined its non-DRAM semiconductor business with Mitsubishi Electric's to form Renesas Technology.
The Hitachi parts here are red and 830 nm laser diodes, LCD driver ICs, 8-bit CMOS microcontrollers, and small-signal transistors.
How to spot one: Hitachi digital ICs start with HD, and Hitachi laser diodes with HL. Japanese transistors often drop the 2S from the body marking, so a part marked B561 is a 2SB561. When you replace a laser diode, match the wavelength, the output power and the pin layout of the can.
