Empro Parts
Empro Manufacturing, of Indianapolis, Indiana, makes current shunts for electrical measurement.
The Empro parts here are bolt-down DC ammeter shunts: precision low-value resistors that turn a large current into a small voltage a meter can read.
How to spot one: an Empro HA number gives the rated current, then the voltage drop at that current, so an HA-500-100 is a 500 A, 100 mV shunt. Match the shunt's millivolt rating to the meter's full-scale millivolt range, and its current to the circuit.
