Archer / Radio Shack

Archer / Radio Shack Parts

Archer was the RadioShack house brand for electronic parts: semiconductors, ICs, sensors, relays and project boards, sold under RadioShack catalog numbers, with 276- on most semiconductors. RadioShack started in Boston in 1921, and Tandy bought it in 1962.

The Archer parts here are hobby and repair staples: zener diodes and bridge rectifiers, IR photodiodes and phototransistors, cadmium sulfide photocells, fiber optic emitters and detectors, ceramic IF filters, subminiature PC relays, audio amplifier, touch-tone decoder and LED driver ICs, voltage references and perfboard.

How to spot one: Archer parts were made by other semiconductor makers, and many carry that maker's number, such as a TIL or 1N number, next to the RadioShack catalog number. Match the number printed on the part when you replace one.
