Alps Electric was founded in Tokyo in 1948 and is known for potentiometers, slide faders, encoders and switches used in audio gear and consumer electronics. It merged with Alpine in 2019 to form Alps Alpine.
The Alps part here is a dual slide potentiometer used as a fader. On a dual pot, one slider moves two tracks at once, one for each stereo channel. Match the resistance, the taper (audio or linear), the travel length and the footprint when you replace one.
