Product Overview
Ten bits of high-speed, TTL-compatible bus switching from Texas Instruments, organized as two independent 5-bit switches. Each bank has its own output enable: OE low connects the A port to the B port, OE high puts that bank in the high-impedance state.
Key Features
- 10-bit FET bus switch, arranged as two 5-bit banks
- Separate active-low output enable for each bank
- TTL-compatible inputs
- Supply voltage: 4 V to 5.5 V
- Operating temperature: -40 C to +85 C
- 24-pin surface-mount body with fine-pitch gull-wing leads
Frequently Asked Questions
What does each OE pin do?
Each 5-bit bank answers to its own output enable. Hold OE low and the A and B pins of that bank are connected through the switch; take it high and the bank goes high-impedance, isolating the two sides.
Is that price for one switch chip?
Yes, one chip. Each switches 10 bits, so a 20-bit bus takes two.
A bus switch does no thinking of its own; it opens and closes ten doors between two buses whenever its two enable pins say so. Your logic decides who gets through.
