Condition
Used and in good cosmetic shape, with the normal handling wear of a working lab tool. The aluminum-finish barrel carries scattered fine scratches and swirl marks, a few short scribed lines near the connector flange, and a dark smudge low on the body. The engraved panel stays crisp and fully readable in the photos: TORQUE TRANSDUCER, CAPACITY 50 LBF IN, SERIAL No 34381 ETS, NORBAR TORQUE TOOLS LTD. BANBURY, OXON. Both drive ends look clean under the camera, with light rotational machining marks on the faces and square corners that read sharp rather than rounded, and the six connector pins stand straight with no bent or missing contacts visible. This is a Norbar static torque transducer, identified by a panel milled into the barrel and engraved TORQUE TRANSDUCER, CAPACITY 50 LBF IN, SERIAL No 34381 ETS, NORBAR TORQUE TOOLS LTD. BANBURY, OXON. It is the in-line style: a 1/4 in female square socket on one end and a 1/4 in male square drive with a spring ball detent on the other, so torque runs straight through the body from the driver to the fastener or fixture and the sensing element sits in the middle of that path. A six-pin circular connector rides on a two-screw flange partway up the barrel, its olive shell carrying molded markings that are only partly legible in the photographs. Against the ruler the plain cylindrical body measures approximately 3-1/4 inches long, not counting the male drive tang.
