Product Overview

Micro Diaphragm Liquid Pump on a Machined Mounting Plate, Wired and Ready

Condition

Used, clean, and in excellent condition. The motor label photographs clearly and reads KNF FLODOS, Type PML 1356-NF 30, In 0,51 A, P1 12,2 W. A metal band clamp stamped NORMA 3.0 is wrapped around the motor barrel, and the pump body is bolted with three black Phillips screws to a raised hexagonal aluminum plate that stands above a flat rectangular base plate on a black cylindrical standoff. The head is the familiar teal KNF block with a black cap and four stainless screws, two teal barbed hose ports, and a blue anodized round cover with a brass threaded center port on the lower body face. Red and black leads run to a white connector, and two yellow suppression capacitors marked 1813 0.1 uF plus a green axial component are wired at the motor terminals with insulated crimp terminals and a ring lug bolted to the plate. Cosmetics are what you would expect from a unit pulled off equipment: light tarnish and handling marks on the plated motor can, light scuffs on the aluminum plate. Nothing is cracked, stripped, or missing.

Product Overview

The KNF FLODOS PML 1356-NF 30 is a compact DC micro diaphragm pump built for clean, contamination-free liquid transfer, the kind of pump that lives inside analyzers, benchtop instruments, and OEM fluid modules rather than out on a skid. The NF 30 head is rated for up to 0.3 L/min, up to 1 bar, and a suction height of up to 6 meters water column, and it is self-priming and able to run dry without damage. Because the diaphragm separates the fluid path from the drive, nothing in the wetted path picks up oil or motor debris. This particular unit is still on the aluminum mounting plate it was installed on, a flat rectangular base plate with four corner clearance holes carrying a raised hexagonal plate on a black cylindrical standoff, and its wiring harness intact through a white connector. The pump reads PML 1356-NF 30 on the label, which is also written PML1356-NF 30 and PML1356NF30 in parts catalogs.

Key Features

  • Maximum flow rate: 0.3 L/min
  • Maximum pressure: 1 bar
  • Maximum suction height: 6 meters water column (H2O)
  • Self-priming and dry-running capable
  • Maintenance-free diaphragm design, contamination-free fluid path
  • Motor label markings: In 0,51 A, P1 12,2 W
  • Permissible liquid temperature: +5 °C to +80 °C
  • Permissible ambient temperature: +5 °C to +40 °C
  • Two barbed hose ports on the pump head
  • Mounted on a machined aluminum plate, roughly 2 by 3 inches against our shop ruler, with four corner clearance holes
  • Supply voltage: the voltage block on the motor label is covered by the band clamp and is not legible. Not confirmed - verify against the KNF datasheet for this model before applying power.

Applications

  • Instrument builder plumbing reagent or sample transfer inside a benchtop analyzer
  • Field service technician replacing the liquid pump in a water or gas analysis cabinet
  • OEM prototyper who needs one small self-priming head for a dosing proof of concept
  • Lab or maker setting up a low-volume closed-loop circulation or ink transfer line

Frequently Asked Questions

What supply voltage does this pump need?

We cannot confirm it from the unit. The voltage field on the motor label sits directly under the NORMA band clamp and does not photograph legibly. What is legible is In 0,51 A and P1 12,2 W. Check the KNF datasheet for the PML 1356-NF 30 and match it to your supply before you power it up.

What exactly is included?

Everything in the photos and nothing beyond it: one KNF FLODOS PML 1356-NF 30 pump on its aluminum mounting plate, the attached red and black leads with the white connector, and the loose mating connector, a three-position housing with two positions wired to a short blue and brown pigtail. No hose, no power supply, no controller, no documentation.

Has the pump been flow tested?

No. We grade it as used, clean, and in excellent condition from physical inspection, not from a calibrated flow or pressure run. The published NF 30 numbers above are the series ratings, so plan on checking this unit against your own duty point once it is plumbed in.

Can I take it off the mounting plate?

Yes. Three Phillips screws through the raised hexagonal plate hold the pump body, and the band clamp around the motor barrel comes loose with a flat blade. Both are hand-tool jobs. Plenty of buyers keep the plate, since it already has the corner holes drilled.

Why buy a single pump here instead of a multi-unit lot somewhere else?

Because you probably need one pump, not five. There is exactly one of these in stock and that is what you can buy. Shipping is $8 flat rate and free over $28, so a single unit lands for less than a forced-quantity lot plus freight, and it ships same or next business day from Idaho.

Somebody machined that little plate so this pump would sit exactly where an instrument needed it, then it spent its working life quietly moving fluid a fraction of a milliliter at a time. The plate comes along for the ride - what you bolt it to next is your chapter.
