Product Overview

Molex Micro-Fit 3.0 Male Crimp Terminals, Select Gold Contact, 20-24 AWG, 20 to a Pack

Condition

New. The photographs show the actual loose-piece terminals that ship: stamped and formed bodies with bright, unplated-looking crimp wings and a distinctly gold mating pin, which is the Select Gold plating doing its job only where the contact interface needs it. Crimp barrels and wire wings are open and undeformed, pins are straight, and no crimping has been done to any of them. They are supplied loose rather than on tape or reel, so they are ready to hand-crimp one at a time. Sold 20 pieces per pack.

Same or next business day shipping from our Idaho warehouse. Honest pricing, no nonsense.

Product Overview

This is the male (pin) crimp terminal for the Molex Micro-Fit 3.0 connector system, Molex part number 43031-0009, sold here in packs of 20. The contact is phosphor bronze with 0.76 µm Select Gold (Au) plating on the mating surface, and the crimp accepts 20-24 AWG wire. Micro-Fit 3.0 is the 3.00 mm pitch family Molex built for board-to-wire and wire-to-wire connections that need more current than a 2 mm system but less bulk than Mini-Fit, and it turns up constantly in PC internals, small power distribution, robotics, and instrument wiring. In the caliper photo a single terminal sits between the jaws against the millimeter scale, reading approximately 13 mm end to end. The terminals arrive as loose pieces, not reeled, which is what a bench technician wants and what an automated applicator does not.

Applications

  • Bench technician repinning a Micro-Fit 3.0 power harness inside a piece of test equipment after a wire pulls out of its housing
  • Robotics builder terminating 22 AWG motor and sensor runs into Micro-Fit housings on a custom chassis
  • PC and small-electronics modder building a length-correct replacement fan or peripheral cable instead of running an extension
  • Product developer wiring a prototype harness on the bench, crimping a few terminals at a time as the pinout changes

Frequently Asked Questions

Are these the male pins or the female sockets?

Male. These are the pin halves, and the photos make it obvious: each one has a tapered, gold-plated round pin extending from the crimp body, stamped and rolled so a fine seam runs along its length. The mating female sockets are a different Molex part number and are not in this pack.

What wire will these crimp onto?

20-24 AWG, per the manufacturer specification carried in this listing. Insulation outside diameter also matters for the insulation wings on a terminal this small; that dimension is not confirmed here, so check your wire against the Molex drawing for 43031-0009 before you crimp a whole harness.

Do I get housings with these?

No. This pack is terminals only, and the photos show exactly what ships: loose male crimp terminals and nothing else. Micro-Fit 3.0 plug and receptacle housings are separate Molex parts in whatever circuit count your design calls for.

What crimp tool do I need?

A crimper set up for Micro-Fit 3.0 open-barrel terminals. We have not tested these against any specific hand tool or die, so we will not name one. Verify tooling against Molex application tooling documentation for this terminal series before committing a production harness. Because these are loose pieces rather than reeled strip, they suit hand tools rather than an automatic applicator.

Why buy a 20-pack here instead of a bag of hundreds somewhere else?

Because most harness work does not need hundreds. A four-circuit power lead needs four terminals, plus a couple spares for the one you crimp crooked. This pack is 20, which covers a real repair or a prototype run without leaving 480 terminals in a drawer for the next decade. Shipping is $8 flat rate and free once your order passes $28, so a pack or two alongside your other parts usually costs less delivered than a minimum-quantity order elsewhere, and orders leave our Idaho warehouse the same or next business day.

Gold where it mates, plain bronze where it crimps: Molex put the expensive plating exactly where the current actually cares. Crimp these right and the connector becomes the part of your harness you stop thinking about.
