MKS Instruments Parts
MKS Instruments, based in Andover, Massachusetts, and now named MKS Inc., makes vacuum and process equipment used in semiconductor manufacturing and research, including vacuum fittings and line components.
The MKS parts here are ISO-KF centering rings and overpressure rings, and stainless buttweld elbows.
How to spot one: ISO-KF parts (also called KF or QF) are sized by an NW number that gives the nominal bore in millimeters. NW40 and NW50 are different sizes and do not mate. A KF joint is two flanges, a centering ring with its O-ring, and a clamp; an overpressure ring is added to the joint when the line runs above atmospheric pressure.
