Micro Switch Parts
Micro Switch was founded in Freeport, Illinois, in 1937 and became a division of Honeywell in 1950. Its snap-action basic switch was so widely used that "microswitch" became the everyday word for the whole type of switch.
The Micro Switch parts here are snap-action switches: standard BZ basic switches, V3 miniature switches, SM subminiature switches and DT two-pole double-throw (DPDT) switches, with pin plunger, lever and roller lever actuators, plus a push button switch.
How to spot one: the series letters lead the part number (BZ, V3, SM, DT, MT), and many military parts carry an MS number alongside the Micro Switch number. When you replace one, match the series, the actuator and the terminal style; the mounting holes are set by the series.
