No. This is a PNP output sensor. It requires a PNP-compatible input. If your existing sensor or PLC input is NPN, use the QS18VN6DQ8 instead.
What cordset connects to this sensor?
Any standard 4-pin M12 female Euro-style cordset. Banner and most industrial cordset suppliers offer compatible cables. The sensor does not include a cordset.
Can this detect objects regardless of what is behind them?
Standard diffuse sensors detect any target within the 450 mm range — they do not suppress the background. Highly reflective surfaces behind the target can cause false triggers. If a hard cutoff distance is needed, a background-suppression sensor is the correct choice.
Does IP67 cover washdown environments?
IP67 provides protection against temporary immersion. It is suitable for wash-down and wet industrial environments. Verify suitability against your specific wash-down pressure and chemical requirements before installation.
